Project Update
Easier Access
Construction at Christie Station has begun and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
This work will include:
Barrier-free path from the main entrance to all levels of the station including installation of:
- Two forward motion elevators to serve the concourse level, westbound and eastbound platforms
- Tactile walking surface indicators added to the top landing of stairs to platforms
- Automatic sliding doors
- Improved signage
Due to COVID-19 and current provincial guidance on public gatherings, a pre-construction overview presentation is posted online.

TTC’s Easier Access Program will make all subway stations accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of mobility. Today, more than half of our stations are accessible to people with disabilities. Learn more about the complete schedule.

Schedule for all stations to be completed by 2025, as required by Provincial AODA Legislation, based on full funding.
