Major Projects

The City of Toronto and the TTC are developing, improving and expanding the transit network through the delivery of several major projects that will provide faster, more reliable and more comfortable service on the TTC.

5-Year Service Plan & 10-Year Outlook

The 5-Year Service Plan & 10-Year Outlook identifies service-related improvements to public transit service in the city of Toronto between 2020-2024 and beyond.

RapidTO

In our 5-Year Service Plan & 10-Year Outlook released in December 2019, TTC outlined a proposal to explore priority bus-only lanes and other service-enhancing measures on five of its busiest corridors.

2023 Annual Service Plan

Annual Service Plans (ASPs) identify how the TTC will serve customers in the coming year. They are focused on modifying and improving service for our customers, and refining previously identified service planning initiatives to address emerging and changing priorities.

The future of TTC’s Line 3 Scarborough (SRT)

The TTC’s Line 3, Scarborough Rapid Transit system (SRT), is a 6.4 kilometre intermediate capacity rapid transit line with six stations that opened in 1985. The TTC Board has approved decommissioning of the SRT in 2023 and providing safe and accessible interim bus service until the Scarborough Subway Extension (SSE) is opened by the Province of Ontario in 2030.
