Leo Zhang
Zhang has been playing the cello underground as a TTC subway musician for the past 18 years. He’s a classically trained cellist who can often be found performing along Line 1.
Leo is known to provide soothing background music, helping to relax the minds of commuters. He comes from a family of musicians: his dad is a violin professor, his mom is a pianist, and sister is a violinist. Leo started on the violin when he was a child living in China, and later transitioned to cello. He attended the University of Toronto, mastering in performance.
