Scarborough Centre Bus Service Changes
To prepare for the decommissioning of Line 3 Scarborough by the end of this year, TTC will be upgrading the bus terminal at Scarborough Centre Station to accommodate the interim bus service that will be in place until the opening of the Scarborough Subway Extension.
The bus terminal will be under construction from March to November 2023, affecting all routes to some degree. Before construction starts, service changes to five Scarborough routes will take effect on Sunday, March 26, 2023:
9 Bellamy
The 9 Bellamy will temporarily not serve Scarborough Centre Station until summer 2023 and instead terminate and layover on Bushby Drive at McCowan Station.
Customers wanting to travel to Scarborough Centre Station should transfer to Line 3 Scarborough at McCowan Station or to the 985A Don Mills Station-Scarborough Centre Station Express or the 985D Don Mills Station-Centennial College Express for an accessible connection
Schedules will be adjusted every day to improve service reliability.
21 Brimley
The 21A Kennedy Station-Scarborough Centre Station and 21B Scarborough Centre Station-Steeles will be replaced from Monday to Friday during peak and midday periods by the 21C Kennedy Station-Steeles via Scarborough Centre Station.
Schedules will be adjusted Monday to Friday during most time periods to meet ridership demand.
134 Progress
913 Progress Express
985 Sheppard East Express
Service to Centennial College previously provided by 134C Scarborough Centre Station-Centennial College and 913 Progress Express will now be provided by the new 985D Don Mills Station-Centennial College which is an accessible connection.
All other branches of 134 Progress will temporarily not serve Scarborough Centre station until summer 2023 and instead terminate and layover on Bushby Drive at McCowan Station.
Customers travelling to Scarborough Centre should transfer to Line 3 Scarborough at McCowan Station or to 985A Don Mills Station-Scarborough Centre Station Express or the 985D Don Mills Station-Centennial College Express for an accessible connection.

Scarborough Centre Station bus bay changes
9 Bellamy and 134 Progress will not serve Scarborough Centre Station during bus bay construction, which is scheduled to end summer 2023.
These routes will turn back at McCowan Station. Customers can connect between McCowan Station and Scarborough Centre Station on Line 3. 985A Sheppard East Express will be extended to McCowan Station to provide an accessible connection between McCowan Station and Scarborough Centre Station.
Routes 16 McCowan, 21 Brimley, 38 Highland Creek, 43 Kennedy, 129 McCowan Northbound, 130 Middlefield, 131 Nugget, 132 Milner, 133 Neilson, 169 Huntingwood, 939 Finch Express, and 985 Sheppard East Express will continue to serve Scarborough Centre Station.
These routes will board on the south side of the bus bay and will layover on Borough Drive or at McCowan Station.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, the TTC is making service adjustments across the network to match service to forecasted ridership, improve service reliability and accommodate for construction activities on various routes, including the bus terminal at Scarborough Centre Station in preparation for the decommissioning of Line 3 Scarborough

Will there be more Scarborough service adjustments?
Yes. The TTC will be making service adjustments throughout the year to match service to forecasted ridership and to prepare for the interim bus service that will replace Line 3 Scarborough when it is decommissioned by then end of this year.

How are these service adjustments related to the closure of Line 3 Scarborough?
Line 3 Scarborough will be replaced by an interim express bus service operating southbound via Midland Avenue and northbound via Kennedy Road between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy Stations until the opening of the Scarborough Subway Extension in 2030.
Construction is required to update the Scarborough Centre Station bus terminal to accommodate the increased number of buses that will serve the station. The service changes to 9 Bellamy, 21 Brimley, 134 Progress, 913 Progress Express and 985 Sheppard East Express are required to accommodate this construction.

Are GO Transit and Intercity Buses affected by these service changes?
In October 2022, GO Transit stops at Scarborough Centre Station were relocated to Borough Drive and Triton Road.
